LS1 swap question. O2 sensor and pwr steering.
After hours of work, and many many beers; a bunch of us got the LS1 into my wifes 92 RS. What a pain it was to get it in there! There was constantly something that was keeping it from going in. I pray that I never have to take it out. Will post pics soon.
Anyway, my question is this:
The drivers side O2 sensor seems to be catching on the crossmember and not allowing the manifold to sit flush agaisnt the block. Did anyone else come up with this problem?
Secondly, the power steering lines. Do I need to fabricate new lines? It looks like the return line will fit ok, but the feed line, with all of its bends and twists, does not want to screw into the power steering box. Are there power steering lines from another model year that would work? Would the stock lines from the original engine work?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You should be able to use the stock lines from the original engine. As far as the left 02, you can plug the original holes and relocate them into the exhaust system as close as you can to the exhaust manifold flanges.
