350 TBI to HSR
350 TBI to HSR
I have a 89 Camaro with a 350 TBI that I swapped in about 2-3 months ago.
I've wanted to swap to TPI for awhile, but when I did the motor, I ran out of money. So I had to put off. Now I got some money, its time. Instead of sticking a stock TPI that will kill the high-end, I want to swap to a HSR.
I tried hunting Ebay for parts, but all the systems are more than what I wanted to spend. I figure, since alot of that stuff will not 100% swap over (Like the intake and fuel rails.) Why not just piece it together?
I want to make it a SD system. Here is what I think I need (without the HSR stuff)
*Computer
*Wireharness
*Fuel Pump
*Misc sensors, but since I am a mechanic, I can get new ones cheap anyway.
*Injectors (size?)
*Gaskets (see sensors)
*Throttle body
Am I forgetting anything?
As for the HSR stuff, I need the manifold, and the fuel rails. Not to mention a bunch of small crap that is listed in GM High-Tech Performance.
Anyone want to add anything that I will need?

Try searchin, there have been a few people that have done them recently. Have you looked at jegs or summit they have the entire set-up, probably would be cheaper than nickel and diming yourself broke with a bunch of independent little parts.
