LT1 Illinois Swappers
LT1 Illinois Swappers
Well guys, i am really looking forward to dropping in an lt1 in my beast. Well i plan on doin this around the end of july mid august. My thought is that i have never done much more then oil changes and fan switches and dont have a garage or tools. i called up and it would cost close to 3k to get it done WOW!!!!!!. So my ? is is there anyone in this area that has done one before that would help someone out for about 500-600 bucks. I know its not much but im only 18 and dont have enough to pay out much more. So if theres any hardcore thirdgenners up here that would be interested please reply. Thanks

I've done it and wish I could help you out but I've got too much else going on. If you have all the parts...engine, harness, etc. You should be able to do it yourself and maybe some of your friends have tools you can borrow. As for the garage, you may even be able to rent one for a couple of months till you can do this. For the $5-600 you have, that should cover most of the tools and possibly rent for a garage. This swap is fairly easy and just about every possible question you could ask is probably on here...if you can't find it....just ask. Good luck.
