2.8-3.4 swap

I did a search, but could not find the exact info I am lookin for, so here goes,

I am trying to swap a 3.4 into a car with a 2.8. I'm thinking that, in addition to the engine, i need injectors from a 3.4, a computer from a 3.4, and a flywheel. Anything else that I will need to buy?

I'm not interested in buying a V8, or doing a V8 swap, for financial and insurance reasons.

James

Not having done it, this is purely from memory of things I've heard:

Don't need 3.4 injectors or computer. AFPR will do.

Flywheel or flexplate? New engine or used? I believe you also need a 3.4 harmonic damper.

I believe the oil pans & pickups are different. But, the 2.8 parts will fit the 3.4.

Check the technical articles. The last time I checked (which was awhile ago) there was an article on this specific subject.

I just checked and the article is still there. Look for "2.8-3.4 swap boogie."
