I posted this a long time ago to a question on motor mounts:
Enjoy,
Steve
Okay, here's what you're going to need: WD-40, a roll of duct tape, a Barbie doll arm, a high-powered rifle, a crucifix, a live chicken, a small baggie of all yellow M&M's, five or seven packages of microwave popcorn (not six, not four), a copy of Harry Belafonte's Greatest Hits, a tuft of that lint that sticks to your toes from new socks, three thumbtacks, two sheets of paper folded in half, an orphaned button inside an orphaned sock found in your dryer, a leaky pen (or a mechanical pencil that has no lead), a pair of reading glasses with one lens removed, and last but MOST CERTAINLY NOT LEAST is a wiry little buddy to lie on the floor for three hours using his wiry little arms and wiry little hands and about fifty various extensions and swivels on your socket ratchet all the while cursing and defiling all GM engineers that okay'd this method of bolting up motor mounts. Make sure to supply said buddy with plenty of brewski's, else you'll become the object of his ire instead of the aforementioned engineers; this isn't a good thing.
At least that's what it took for me.
Seriously, it took almost three hours for a wiry little friend of mine with wiry little hands and a buttload of socket parts to do this with my engine out. Do yourself a favor and put the bolts in from the underside and the nuts on the topside when you replace them.
Good luck, (you can order chickens from www.Ineedachickenformymotormounts.com)

well, I got the old ones out the easy way. Big drill and a grinding wheel. That still took about 3 hours. someone mentioned running a string down through and pulling the bolts through the bottom like that, which is a good idea, but how do you get on the head of the bolt to cinch it down? I am at work and have a bunch of crap piled on top of my car in the garage, so I haven't been able to mess with it very much. I would like for the install to take about a good day, start to finish... But I figure it might take a day per side. Some have said it's easy, some say it's hard, I am probably just going to have to get in there and throw some tools around and figure out the best way for me.
