Hi, i know my question doesn't relate to third gens but it does relate to chevy 305 which were quite common in third gens. My question is I've got an 89 isuzu pickup with a 305 chevy. I know its and 80's 305 because the oil dipstick is on the passenger side.
I've been told by the guy who custom built the truck that it is a 305 H.O . Does anybody have the serial #'s to the early 80's h.o's so that I could verify it and or find out exactly what I've got . I would really aprreciate it alot . This little truck is awesome with a chevy 305 , bought some 5.0 emblems and put them on the side . Then pull up next to 4.6 mustangs at the red light and ask them to race . Basically when I come off the light burning first and chirping the rest of the gears , the are in amazment that a little droped isuzu pickup has a duals and a V-8. Hopefully going to be doing some upgrades , would like to change out the cam on it .

There are other sites out there that are simular and a simple search engine can find them ... chevy casting engine
