So I bought a 400sbc

I bought a 400sb complete out of a 1980 silverado for $250 Stripping it down getting it machined and will modd the crap out of it any tips. Or warning and such Speak freely. Wow i cant wait!

thanks for all the comments... Well I stripped it down today the block looks good everything else is trash exept for a few things. Now tommrow i will call the shop and get it checked out,if anybody cares....

whats the entire plan for this engine? what heads you going to use?

OK it was complet minus the carb and dist. But I stripped it down getting it bored tank etc, I was goin to use stock crank and rods but there basically trash,so Ill have a stock block and...thats it lol I already have edelbrock performer rpm 70cc heads strait plug complete and polished air gap intake the cam that matches the heads and intake i have a600 cfm carb which is goin to be to small, I got rollers comin 1.6 edlebrock fuel pump some crane pushrods,im goin to get a high volume oil pimp speed pro pistons eagle crank and rods msd ingition 6al talor wires anything i forget is goin to be hi po too. Wow this is fun oh and heddman elite headers long tube.
