New TPI fuel pump or LT1 for LT1 swap ?

After 11 years, it looks like I can get a free gas tank replacement, due to some safety recall on the 92's....

Well, I know the service advisor well enough that I want them to replace the fuel pump too..BUT... I'm not sure they will put the LT1 fuel pump for my LT1 third gen (I am still using my stock TPI fuel pump)...

So..my question is... will I be perfectly fine with replacing with a brand new TPI fuel pump, instead of a specific LT1 fuel pump ?? How different are they ? Anything else I should replace while I get free labor? Fuel sender just because... even though mine is fine ? I have 162k mile currently...

Thanks!

It will run with stock TPI pump fine. However, if it were me I would at least put in a Walbro 255ltr/hr pump for a thirdgen.

i would go with the walbro too.... if nothing else, because its a better pump for the same price...

put if they put in a GM TPI one, yea, it'll be fine.

honestly, i wonder if the LT1 pump supersedes the TPI in their book...
