One of my friends is considering a BBC 88 Camaro project. The car is an 88 IROC with the LB9/M5 for $2k. My friend is thinking about buying it so he can fullfill his Big Block dreams! He said he has around $12k to spend on mods. The motor he is thinking about is the ZZ502 GM crate engine (carb'd). Around $8k for the motor shipped. Just wondering if anyone has any info about a swap like this? Anything to watch out for as far as the motor swap? Any clearance issues? (headers maybe?)

hood,pulleys,accesories,brackets,headers/exhaust,cutting/grinding,cooling,sususpension,carb conversion,tranny/rear end life,wiring and connectors.$8K is pretty steep for a BBC(IMO),I would rather go for a bored and stroked mark IV shortblock and giant heads..well not too giant..
