swap checklist

ok i am thinking of swapping a lt1 into my camaro....my camaro is currentlly carbed with no wiring for the engine pretty much and i have a th350 tranny....now will i be able to use the lt1 wiring harness or will i haveto buy a new one?

so for the swap ill need
-new driveshaft
-new shifter
- new speedo and other gauges

what else will i need?

Axle/Gears: 3.42 Eaton 7.625, 3.42 Zexel Torsen
Jegs sells an Lt1 wiring harness kit which would allow u to put an lt1 in ur camaro. part number 310-74022l.... sells for (deep breath)....999.99. It comes w/ just the harness and ecm i believe. Painless also has a couple different wiring harness sets for lt1s @ jegs also. If you have the complete harness w/ ur engine then u obviously won't need another kit

ok cool cool..anybody know if ill have to buy a new tranny crossmember if switching from th350 to the 4l60e
