When I went to upgrade my rear axle to 3:42(and auburn posi) the owner took the camaro out for a test run. Said that when driving uphill the motor is not running on all eight cylinders. Since he had all the awards in his office of winning quarter mile runs and a shop full of grand nationals and restored chevelles. I'm starting to wonder. He said I show look into the wiring or a loose roller rocker or dirty injectors.

How can I test to see if my iroc is running on all 8?
Any ideas?

cylinder balance test

if you don't know if the tune up is good or not it may be a good idea to take care of that and check filters

I'm going to assume since you put "dual stainless tips" in your mod list, that you also put something in it that actually has functional value instead of just a bunch of dead weight, namely headers.

When the engine is cold, start it up and let it run for about 30 seconds. Shut it off and squirt a small amount of water onto each header tube right next to the head, and make sure that they're all equally hot. If a cyl is missing its tube will be much colder than the rest.

ede, I had the motor rebuilt, all new internals. all new filters as well. I pretty much wanted a new car(w/o the $40k price tag), so I replaced everything or the car.

RB83L69, the dual stainless is a complete package from flowmaster I liked the power that flowmaster estimated and bought it. I'll try the water/exhaust tip tonight and let U know tomorrow.

anything else i should look for?

Did you replace the injectors? I get a ohm meter and check the resistance of each unit. If you have a clogged or bad injector you will see a big variance in resistance. If I remember correctly 13-16 ohms is acceptable. Are you getting SES codes?

How does it idle? Is it really smooth, so-so, or really shakey and rough? If its shaking violently, that could show its running on 7 (but not 100% accurate indication)

don't i feel stupid!
reviewed my issue with my iroc yesterday night. My brother seen the #6 wire touching the header. Didn't have a spare wire so i went to autozone - replaced the bugger - and ALL FIXED!
took her into work today and it's a dream come true.

Finally the drive train is finished... I'm so happy I could cry(NOT).

didn't know but on the autozone wires there is a life time warrantee(as long as you have the bill of sale), the wire can be cooked up into ashes and they'll give U another box set free, sweet deal.

PICS TO COME
