Bless you all!
I get it! the balancer plate allows me to use my stock 305 flywheel! all it is doing is balancing the assembly so i dont have to use the special externally balanced flywheel for the 400. Then the stock starter will most likely bolt up?
Thank you so much, now im back on track with my 400!

Yes the stock starter will bolt up just like the before. But the thing you have to be careful about is the holes for the starter to bolt into maybe full of dirt (a car starter and a truck starter use different bolt holes on a SBC). Just make sure that the hole is cleaned before you install.
Welcome to the 400 club (the 6.6 or 6.7 club depending on your bore)
Congrats, Garrett
