Anything is possible if you have the time and money to fab up what you need to make it work. However you can make more power out of a Chevy 350 for less money.
Putting one in a third gen could be done. But unless you just have the time and money and want to prove it I wouldn't think it's worth it.

I agree with 87WS6. Now, with that said, years ago there used to be a company that made a hemi head conversion for the SBC. I haven't seen that ad in years, but you might want to do an internet search to see what's available.
Of course if you are that stuck on a hemi (and who doesn't like a hemi?) why not get that double overhead cam engine that was in the Corvette a number of years ago? Those Corvette engines are awfully pricey (and, I'm told, more trouble that they are worth. For instance, guys that liked to keep their engine clean had a problem with corrosion in the starter because the starter was in the lifter valley). And, keep in mind that the latest LS6 Corvette engine is pulling as much horsepower out of a pushrod engine as Chevrolet got out of that double overhead cam.

I allways liked how the spark plugs sit ontop of the heads on a hemi. really really nice when you have headers and can't get to the sparkplugs.
aluminum hemi BBCs are common in alcohol cars and pulling tractors, or were common, parts shouldn't be too hard to find. not sure if the hemi heads would bolt to an iron block or not, and i'm pretty sure they wouldn't be wet heads.

I believe he is talking about the new Small block hemi. I do not at this time if it is available to purchase from a dealer. I'm sure in time there will be aftermarket support for them, but as of now I'd go with an LS1 for the swap. Many features carry over to the hemi from the ls1
Tunners are having a hard time getting over the Hemi's computer controls and what not so its being a pain to mod. You can always order a 426 or 528 out of Mopar, but... good luck. I sugest going with a one of the Generals many MANY crate motors. And dont basterdise your car... 9 inch fords are one thing... hemi's are another...
