2.8 ---> 5.7 swap motor mounts
I am cleaning the bay out and getting ready to drop the newly rebuilt 350 into place. I was wondering on the people who have done this - how did the motor mounts work out? I simply pulled the bolt and left both brackets on. I was told these had to be moved awhile back. Can someone share thier experience?
Thanks
Mike

You need to move the halves that mount to the crossmember to the forward-most set of holes. This will require moving the brake line to the back side of the crossmember. It also requires a very fun session of getting a wrench on the nuts that are inside the crossmember (heard recently someone cut a "window" in the front of the crossmember to accomplish this - haven't tried that myself).
You also need the engine halves of the mounts from a 3rd gen V8. Last I heard the dealers no longer have them available.
