305TPI to ZZ4

Guys,
Ive decided that this is the way to go this winter.I will be selling my low miles 305 with all tpi and ecu and fitting ZZ4 with a complete aftermarket TPI setup.
Are there any disadvantages with fitting the ZZ4,what other parts will i need that i might not have realised yet,and what TPI set up do you all think i should use.The main use the car has are long high speed road journeys and cruising town but not really any racing.
cheers

The paint on that car is beautiful. I am getting my paint done soon. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

As far as the TPI setup, most people are using stealth ram or mini ram setups to let their engine breathe up top. Others have successfully a modified the LT1 intake.

If I were you I would not sell the ECM/ECU. I it can be reprogramed to work with your new setup.

The paint is cherry pearl. The car was very staright to start with so there is little or no filler.I had a paint shop do it for me,so i'm the wrong person to ask for advice on paint.
As far as the ECU is concern,i believe the early ones like mine are not possible to modify to run a ZZ4

For what you plan on doing with the car, the MAF TPI will handle the new engine with no complaints. AFPR will be all that's needed for tuning. Ported plenum & base, shorter runners will help performance a little.

MAF only has problems in the upper RPM range where the air flow exceeds its fuel mapping. Except for that, it'll adjust to the increased displacement where SD would require PROM tuning.

Thanks 57kid,but iwould really like to fit a fully tuneable EFI.
Ive already got someone to buy my complete motor,so it has to be new stuff all the way.
The other thing i am thinking is,am i better off buying a ZZ4 shortblock and fitting different heads and cam?I dont want to make enough power to start breaking transmissions and diffs, but i would like something that will give me an effortless high speed cruising capability
