i have no fuel pump power!
I just took out that junk TPI 305....the 350 is in, my fuel lines are all beautifully plumbed up to the regulator.....however....I don't seem to have any power to the inline pump....what side of the gas can is it on? Drivers? I couldn't find a power line running for it....all I need to do is find that...and connect a 12v power supply that turns on/off with the ignition key right? any help would be appreciated.

Im assuming that your reffering to the in tank pump. If you go and look on the firewall there will be the fp relay there. If you pull the connecter there the large tan/black(?) wire that leads into the connecter there leads directly to the pump (as well as an orange wire that leads from the fuseable link that supplies the relay with constant power). It takes a decent ammount of amperage to run it but jsut hook a switched 12 volt sorce to that and you should be good to go.
edit: didnt see you had a carb and no ecm anymore when i first posted.

Its simple to use the factory intank pump. you can cut the larger wires and attempt to find an ignition source with enough amperage to power the pump correctly oorrrrrrrrr you could just connect the little green and white wire from that same relay to an ignition source... like say the power wires for the wiper motor. The green and white wire is the one that triggers the relay and will activate the pump like it was intended using its original source of power.

Make sure you are getting correct power and amperage before you drive yourself crazy. It is possible that the fuel pump has failed.
You can easily measure the voltage at the rear of the car. Just undo the junction and measure voltage at the purple (forget the exact color of the wire.)
Remember you only have a few seconds to do this when you turn the key into the on position. You should also hear the relay clicking on and off during this few seconds.
I had a sutiation where I was not getting the correct amperage out back despite the fact that the relay was functioning. Replaced the relay and all was well. Strangely enough you can borrow the power trunk relay for testng. It is the same relay.
Fast foward two years later. My fuel pump failed with 93K. Good power and voltage. Just frozen. Good luck.
