Crate Engine Fittment Issues...

I am just trying to cover all bases before I swap out my *** forsaken 305TBI to the 350 H.O.

1. Will the 700R4 bolt right up? (Don't want any bellhousing issues)

2. Do I have to take out my intank Fuel Pump?

3. Will a mechanical pump work just fine?

4. What model Holley Carb comes on the 350 H.O. Deluxe? and do I need new brackets and linkages for it?

This will be my first engine swap and I want to make sure before I go up to Summit and drain my bank account that everything will work. I already have a 3.73 Posi rear-end and that damn 305 just moved like a turtle.....anyways I figured I could get some good advice from here.

Thanks guys,
Anthony

Yes.

How long will it last? Not long, or forever.

2. Do I have to take out my intank Fuel Pump?
No. Use a 3-port regulator, 1-inlet, 1-to carb, 1-return, it'll feed it fine.

3. Will a mechanical pump work just fine?
Almost as well as #2, above. If you go mechanical, you can: a) remove the in-tank; or b) feed the mechanical with the in-tank, use the reg in #2 above after the mechanical.

600 CFM vacuum secondaries (yuck). The geometry for the TV cable won't be right, you'll need to mimic the TBI TB for that.

.....anyways I figured I could get some good advice from here.
Is there a question here?

Thanks guys,
Anthony
You're welcome.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info, but I still have 2 questions:

The geometry for the TV cable won't be right, you'll need to mimic the TBI TB for that.

1. How do I mimic the TBI TB?

2. What 3 port fuel regulator do you guys reccommend?

Thanks again,
Anthony

You need the Mallory #4309 regulator

As for the TV cable hookup you won't know what you need till you get the motor in. It should just take some tinkering to make it work.

I appreciate it!

I apologize but I am still confused....I leave the intank (stock) fuel pump in. Run a line to the Mallory Regulator, then from the regulator to the carb and a return line from the regulator to the fuel pump? I then wouldn't need a mechanical or another (electric) fuel pump, all I would need is the Fuel Regulator and some fuel line? Sorry for all the confusion.

Thanks again,
Anthony

I assume you have the two fuel lines that come up to the drivers sied inner wheel well. You tap into those two and plumb them into the regulator then run a third line to your carb from the regulator.
