305 carb to lt1

I am in the process of swapping a '96 LT1 motor in place of my slow a** 305 in my 86 Trans Am . I have read everything on this forum and in Car Craft/Chevy high Perf and so on. It still has not answered all my questions. Is there anyone out there that has done the swap that wouldn't mind assisting me or pointing me to a company/ person that can?

I'm in the same boat, if you hear anything about fuel and programming and the wiring harness shed some light...
