No Where to swap
No Where to swap
Ive had the idea to swap the L03 in my 91 Firebird Since I bought it 4 months ago, but I just moved to an apartment building and I have no where to swap my motor. The motor in mind is a 383 Stroker crate with Trickflow heads, 2.02/1.60 and a high lift cam, like around .500-.510 and mild duration for a nice idle and an edelbrock Single plane with a Demon 750 vaccum secondary. The only option available is to take it to a reliable mechanic with ASE certification and a background on high performance engines and pay the amount for labor wheter it be $500 or $800. What should I do?Tkanks.

A few other options:
Do-it-yourself shops. There are some around. Check Yellow Pages, ask around.
Rent a garage. Check the newspaper classifieds, sometimes they are available.
Storage. Rent space for a month. Careful here, though, some places don't allow working on the car.
Regional forum on TGO. Post to see if anyone in your area would have space and would be willing to help you out.
