I have a 1986 Trans Am with a 305 TPI I was wondering if I can put a 1977 350ci Nova SS 4barrel carb engine in and will the following work
- can the 305 TPI intake manifold bolt onto 350 block
- can I use the stock 305 Injectors 19 Lb
- does a T5 bellhousing bolt up to the block
- can I bolt up my flywheel to the block 2" center hole
- can I bolt up all my accesories for the belts (alternator,Ac compressor, air pump and power stearing pump)
-do I have to change the ECM. If so can I use the 350 ci ECM from a Camaro IROC-Z or another Trans AM

Yes
Not really, but maybe, sort of

No, just the chip and knock sensor; rather like the injectors
Don't expect that smogger pig to be fast or anything. It was rated at 180 HP IIRC, so most likely your car will be much much slower with that than the LB9. My 83 L69 car was massively faster than both 70s Z28s that I had at the time I bought it, in 85, which were a 78 (auto) and a 79 (4-spd). The fact that yours is a 4-barrel, or that it came wrapped in a Nova had the SS trim package (that's all the "SS" was in those dark years, a trim package consisting of a stripe and a couple of badges, nothing functional) doesn't change the basic facts about that motor; 929 cam, dished pistons, 882 heads, etc.; all the same stuff as an Impala 2-barrel would have had. Even the same exhaust manifolds. The only thing different was the intake and carb.
You'll need the flywheel off of a 83-85 305 Camaro/Firebird.

a 350 and 305 is almost the same thing. i got my motor from a truck. i think its like late 50's to early 90's is all the same thing in the small blocks? you shouldnt have any problem bolting up your brackets and such. as for the manifold, if you DONT have center bolt heads, they will bolt up fine. i had a problem when i swapped the motor from the tbi injection to carbed. jegs sent me a manifold for the side bolt heads, not the centerbolt style, i guess the angle is different.
