I was wondering if the fuel pickup and pump are the same for the two?

I have lined up the intake, TB, wiring, comp, and sensors, and ofcourse a V8 will I need anything else?

thanks in advance guys
PS I have done carb V8 swaps in these cars before, I'm just new to the FI

You'll need a fuel pressure regulator. FI runs at least 42psi at idle.

TBI runs a whole lot less psi, thus the need for the (edits: adjustable) fuel pressure regulator.

I think TBI is about 13~15 psi, but I've never had to deal w/it before.

It's not the same pump. I did a TBI to TPI swap and had to change the pump. Now if you went from a V6 MPFI to V8 TPI then you don't have to change the pump. I know that for a fact because I did that swap once too.
