alright I am going to stick a 454 under the hood of camaro and yes I have done alot of research on this subject. What i want to know is how much horsepower can be expected from a mild 454. Ok say you have a comp cam 268* cam or something like that delbrock performer rpm intake and a 750cfm double pumper with 9.0:1 compression and mild head work and with stock exhaust manifolds. What would a logical number be.

 

you have to be more specific on the combo..but a bunch of magazine articles has made more 500+ HP with that intake,a Comp XE274 (hyd) cam,9.5:1 on stock large oval port heads.

all I want is about 450hp cause it will be my daily driver. So if I used a Xe274 cam with an edelbrock intake, 750cfm double pumper, and around 9:1 compression will it get me to that point.

 

Probably around 450-475 hp and 500-525 tq.
