383 build!

i was thinking about building a 383 stroker when my 130k mile 305 died, or maybe even before, if run into enough money. my question is how much would it cost for a complete engine change to the 383 from my LG4 305 be? (this is assuming paying for labor too)

depends on a lot of things. Do you have a 350 bare block? What kind of rotating assembly would you be running? What cam? What heads? Who would be building it? What kind of induction? There's a lot of things to take into account, and shopping around helps. Eagle makes some pretty good rotating assemblies that are fairly well priced. All things considered..you would be looking at around 1500-4000 depending on what you go with. And that's not including beefing up your tranny or rear end once they go from the torque of the 383.
