for those who don't know the LQ9 is the high performance 6.0ltr. gen III found in the silverado SS and escalade's I got a good deal on one out of a 2002 escalade only $4300 with 19000 miles. has anyone put one of these in their 3rd gen? does it have the same clearance problems as the LS1's and will it take the LS1/3rd gen motormounts any comments will be helpful

p.s. I don't plan to put the motor in for atleast a year Im going to stroke it first

 

From what I understand it is pretty much the same as a ls1 swap. A little easier since the ignition coils sit closer to the heads.
