target 350 engine
I was curious of how good this engine or block maybe. I am looking at at truck that the guy says it has a new "target 350 engine" in it. But i did some research on it, and found out that they are prone to cracking, now is this true?

I've heard that. Haven't heard them called "Target" for a few years, they're "Goodwrench" now.
I have a Goodwrench 350 in my '84 full-sized van. It's been our horse trailer tow vehicle for 7 years, haven't had a lick of trouble with it. It's got about 65k on it now.

I just got a block that came out of a truck with the target/goodwrench 350 in it. No cracks in mine, and I hope that they are not prone to cracking because that would suck. But, from everything that I have heard they are good engines. It is the LM1 and they are only like 1299 from gmpartsdirect.com. But, they do gouge on the shipping there.
