Vehicle Inspection and Registration after swap
I plan on swapping a 350TPI from an 88 into an 84 and I'm wondering if anyone that has done similar swaps has run into difficulty when having their vehicle registered or inspected. Since the engine doesn't match what the VIN says, do they have to check any more than usual or give you any more hassles? Any info or experiences would be appreciated so i know what to expect. thanks

I would think you would be alright. Not sure though. I'm thinking of me and my uncle using his 400 into a free 81 grand prix, and "using" a vin # from a totaled similar 'Prix. I would say you'd be fine, just don't tell the inspector.
