The lines wont be ther its just giving you an idea of where everything is gonna be. Its quite large atthe moment and its because the entire thing is a jpg. So i do have unlimited bandwidth on this pic so download all you want.

are you being for real or are you being sarcastic?
I mean thats not very good in my opinion. Its just a beta page for now. I can have it working in a couple days a nd a guide for you to continue the page.
ALl that was was a jpg of the actuall page i made, but no links were added. I can have it working by saturday most likely.
The program i used was Macromedia FireWorks MX(bootlegged),
and Macromedia DreamWeaver MX(bootlegged), and Microsoft Paint(who bootleggs paint).
Anyways, yeah those are the toold that real pros use to design websites, although they normally cost tons and tons of money.
I'll PM you for more details.
Thanks,
Shane

Sorry about taking so long on the latest update guys, I know a lot of you are waiting. School work has slowed me down a little bit, but I'm slowly getting the Powersteering and Accessory Mounting pages finished up, plus I have a few additions to the Swap Registry. I'll post when I get them up.
Thanks for the input on it so far to everyone that has contributed, I couldn't have done this on my own.
Once I get it mostly finished I'll make a Part 2 post so that its easier to see.

That depends on a lot of things. Are you doing a normal rebuild or using heavier duty replacement components? Since you are going to rebuild anyway, use the heavy duty stuff for piece of mind.

well what is heavyduty stuff? Is that like new gears and everything or what. All the rebuilds i've seen just give you like new gasgets and bearings and stuff. No gears, i'm guess ing they dont relaly need to be replaced, correct?
The ones i'm looking at are racing master rebuild kits. But they dont come with gears. What would make them heavy duty?
Thanks,
shane

I've never rebuilt a transmission but I can remember hearing about heavy duty rebuild kits and standard duty kits. Maybe this: http://www.bulkpart.com/cgi-bin/miva...ory_Code=700R4 page will help explain a few differences in the parts that come woth the stronger stuff. I also remember that the heavier duty stuff includes better/stronger quality parts made of kolene steel. Maybe doing a search or asking in the trans forums might help you out as well.

I've been trying to gather info on an LT-1 swap as well and was curious to know if you could use a TH350 since I have an 82..or would I need to upgrade? What about using an auto trans from a the same doner Vette?

The auto I would think is a regular 4l60e and the manual as far as Lt1 Vette's are concerned is the ZF 6 speed and not the much cheaper and easier to come by t56. I had loads of questions when I was using an f-body t56 with the Vette block no one could help with here but it all came together nicely. As far as the th350, I would think it can be used but the OD and smoothness of the 4l60e makes it a much better choice.
I read in a swapping guide that the only major difference, aside from differnt mounting styles, in the F-Body and Corvette transmissions is that due to the corvette being independent rear suspension the relashinship between the tranny and rear doesn't change so they can use a shorter outputshaft on the tranny and thusly a shorter yoke. Versus on the F-Body where the driveline follows the solid rearend and is 1-3/4" to 2" longer and is better suted for the "play" in the rear end.
Same deal with waht I am doing, using a ZF-6 speed tranny for my LT-1 swap. Just have to make sure that the drive line is lined up good as I loose 1-3/4" of yoke engagment on the ourputshaft of the tranny.
