What motor did you swap out? If you swapped from a V6 to a V8 then the motor mounts should be mounted in the forward holes. Did you swap transmissions too? Did you go to a different type of transmission?

its about an inch or inch and a half between the where the driveshaft used to be and where it hooks up to the transmisson. (i can tell its a new gap because my driveshaft is rusty and there is no rust where this gap is if u get wut im trying to say).
As far as length goes, there is no difference between the 2 transmissions. The only difference is the shape of the bell housing. The V6 bell housing is much narrower than the V8. It sounds like you are talking about the yoke which slips into the back of the transmission. It is really hard to know exactly without seeing a picture or something.

im in the midts of changing from a v-6 to a v-8 when i get in the shop ill take a pic and circule the holes the motor should be mounted on for the motor mounts but if thay were on the v-6 holes i would like to know how you managed to fit the motor on their because that's what i tryed
im not 100% for sure if the holes im looking at are the right ones but at least some one els could re-edit the picture to circule the right holes
