building new 350. got 2-3k
ok I thought I knew what I wanted but now I don't know. Toss out some Ideas for me in the 2-3k range. I was interested in building a 383 stroker but *shrug. I have the '76 350 block already. was thinking about the comp cam 12-238-2 kit and a set of magnum roller tip rockers. and the headman shorties 68470. New distributor and oil pump etc. Heads I'm not sure yet... that kind of depends if I go with the stroker or not. Would like 10:1 or 11:1 compression. I've already got the carb and intake. 750CFM edelbrock performer combo.
So please point me to what is doable for preferably around 2k including machine time for block cleaning, bearing pressing, and head deck milling. Unless you think I can do the bearings and cleaning myself easily. Thanks a bunch in advance :-)
