need expert AC help on swap
Anyone charge their own AC system? I have a vacuum pump. Is it possible to set up the AC using the pressure from the sensor on the AC line that's displayed in datamaster? I have the engine from my totaled Roadmaster in an 89 Camaro now, I used the compressor and hoses from the RM which is R134a and the evaporator and condenser from the Camaro which is R12.
Also, can I still use the PCM to control the AC clutch? I have the wire from the AC control going through the cycle switch then right to the PCM, the compressor is hooked up to the PCM just like it was in the stock RM.
I guess with the RM hoses I don't have to worry about compatibility, what oil should I use and what refrigerant and how much? will the stock orfice tube work?

There is a very good article in the Tech section of this web site that will answer most of your questions. "Converting R-12 to 134A ".
