Engine: stock 305
Help!!!!! On Crate Engine Info

I have a 91 rs camaro with a stock engine in it and i was wanting more power and i have a limit of 6 grand and i wanted to know where i can find a crate engine that will fit in my car and what all will i need after i find one and where to get it

You can get crate engines from everywhere. Here are a few links where you can find them. Remeber you need to make sure you have a full exhuast, and fuel system to keep up with your new crate engine. The rest of your car needs to be up to par. If your car is stock it may be a good idea to use half of that money to build your suspension, upgrade your fuel pump, swap gears and intstall a posi and then go from there. Your 6 grand will go a lot further pending you have done everything I have listed.

You would be a great help if you can hook me up with a list of everything i need and where to find them and how much each item would cost because i am new to all this but all i know is i love my camaro and i want to upgrade it and give it a full makeover so if you could do that i would appreciate it very much:hail:

Well it is really easy. Just spending a little time on each board (exhaust, suspension) you will kinda get the feel for what your car needs. Crate engines are awesome. There is no point however, in getting one if you cannot feed or support that power. I would try a search in the exhaust board for the following.

"best cat back"
"best headers"

and anything along those lines. The key id to set yourself up and get rid of all the weak links of your current set-up before you add a lot of power. You will spend a lot less power in the future that way.
