LS conversion question
Can the 02 a/c compressor work on 3rd gen. conversion or would it be better to use the 3rd gen a/c unit.
I am putting in 02 ls6 into an 82 z28.
The other post says you have to modify the lines. Is that becuase it is an LS compressor or 3rd gen compressor?

Engine: 2000 LS1
Transmission: 4L60E SS3600
You would need to notch the K-member to get the compressor to work.
There is no way around that. unless of course you are FlyNLow, his car has a custom bracket to use the stock 92 compressor on his LS1. ThirdGen Resource did it. I will let him tell you more about it tho.

Were are you! I was also thinking about getting a bracket that put the compressor high on passenger side.
But are we talking about using the stock one or ls1?
