305 to 350 swap
Can anyone tell me just what all is involved in doing this swap?
Will I need to replace the Computer? Is it going to smog legal in California?

I just did a v6 on my 92 camaro and had a 305 junker car i took alot of things from. You can use all the serpentine brackets, intake, tbi, wiring harness, computer, motor mounts, air cleaner, radiator, and trans. You can use a lot of things that are already on your car. However you will need 350 sensors and have to get fuel injectors that are bigger than the 305 otherwise it will run lean. You need to get your computer reprogrammed which usually runs about 350 to 450. I don’t know if you can use the 305 exhaust manifolds. I don’t thinks so. I just bought headers. Anyways it’s an easy swap compared to a v6 conversion. You dont have to move anything such as the motor mounts ect. You should just be able to plug and play. Just the little things like sensor and such needs to be changed.
My car is a 92 camaro I put a 355 tbi motor in it. I had a junk 1989 305 tbi car that i used alot of parts from. Such as the wiring harness, computer, distributer, intake etc. If you have any questions ask away.
