Procharged LT1

say if someone were to swap an LT1 into their 3rd gen and wanted to supercharge it. which kit would they use? a 3rd gen kit or a 4th gen kit? or would procharger sell you a custom kit with lt1 brackets but 3rd gen piping and intercooler? what route would one take for this?

I think it has to be custom due to the mounting location of the 4th gen kit.

On another note, what wheels do you have? They look very similar to the ones I have.

its some off brand ive never heard of before. called ATP. wheels are the Razze 5 in a 16x8. or atleast thats what i think they are. every site ive found with them on it has been out dated and the links dont work anymore. they look a LOT like 4th gen firehawk wheels in person.

Interesting. I've got Anterra 17 x 9's on mine that looks almost exactly like those and the 4th gen Firehawks. Havent found any info about mine either.

Well my future LT1 swap will be suprcharged. Throughout the stages of my planning for it this summer I have wondered the same thing. It all boils down to what accesroy set-up you go with. I am really going to tinker and try to re-use my stock accessories. I know it has been done with certain shims but until I dive into it I cannot accurately say. My geuss is that a TPI system could be mated up to it if you were able to retain the 3rd gen accesories. I belive the same would apply weather you have vette or f-body accessories.

There is no ATI or Vortech that will be a straight up bolt and go situation, the bracketry is completely diff for a 3rd gen setup vs bolting it onto a LT1, the F body LT1 setups mount the blower where it would conflict with the steering box, Powerdyne makes a kit for the Impala SS that should have no problems whatsoever, your other option would be to buy the Vortech Carb'd kit and then work out the crank pulley issue.
