89 suburban 350tbi/700r4 to 82 C-10
89 suburban 350tbi/700r4 to 82 C-10
Sorry this is off f-body topic... i own an f-bod too (92TA).
I have an 82 SWB c-10 setup for a carbed 350 / th350... I want to swap the entire 350tbi/700r4 powertrain from my wrecked 89 2wd suburban. My questions are...
1. What fuel pump will work for the tbi... i hear just about any inline efi pump that will make 14 psi will work?? any suggestions?? i need a cheap pump. (junkyard?) any plumbing suggestions?? (return?) the c-10 has dual tanks.. but only one is hooked up... the other has a tear in the bottom... i'll be looking out for one at the junkyard. I know the 87' models were fuel injected... how were their fuel pumps setup?? one in each tank??
2. Will the stock c-10 driveshaft work? I hear the th350 and the 700r4's yoke are the same?? what about length??
other than that... most everything from the suburban, firewall forward, will be going onto the truck... front clip... radiator.. etc... I just rebuilt the frontend on the suburban too... might as well swap it too...
basically just want to use the entire suburban powertrain... it's totally complete cept for the wrecked side.
any suggestions will be helpful...
Thanks

Interesting project, but I'm afraid it doesn't meet Board rules.
Sorry.
