Uh...if the T56 is one for an LT1, you'll have issues using it with an LS1. Input shaft length is the big problem.

Yes the t56 is for an LT1, Dam Am I going to have a big problem?
My car is a 96 and my doner car is a 98 Are there that many differances. I can use the motor mounts from my 98 as well right insted of buyin some? Dam this is turning in to more hastle then itsa worth. I may just sell my LS1.

If you consider needing to replace the T56 input shaft and the bellhousing not bolting up completely a big problem, then yes you'll have a big problem. And that's the easy part...keep reading.

Wiring harnesses aren't plug and play, you'll need to map out both the LS1 engine harness and your 4th gen chassis harness to figure out what repinning is needed. And then there's the fuel system...your LT1 had separate fuel feed and fuel return lines. If the LS1 came from an F-body, it only has a feed line...return is back in the rear of the car.

As for the mounts and other trauma, no clue...you're asking 4th gen questions on a 3rd gen board.

I'd check the Conversions & Hybrids board on ls1tech.com for posts from other 4th genners. I've seen at least one well-documented 4th gen V6 to LS1 swap there, take a look and see what you're in for.
