LG4 same as 305 Camino
Is an LG4 Camaro engine the same as an 87 305 El Camino engine? Any differences? Thanks.

Depends upon what LG4 you're comparing it to.
If '84-earlier, the '87 will have higher compression and knock sensor. If '85-earlier, the '87 will have one-piece rear main seal vs. two-piece. If '86-earlier, the '87 will have roller lifter cam, center bolt valve covers, and 72 degree angle center intake manifolt bolts vs. flat-tappet cam, perimeter bolt valve covers, and 90 degree intake manifold bolts.
However, that's based on f-body info. The El Camino could have other differences, of which I'd have no clue. But the basic 305 should basically be the same.
