Looks absolutely great, I'm glad someone on the boards went far enough to do the swap. Here are my only complaints-

Replace the windsheild washer bottle (about $20 from Year One). And I'd start polishin some aluminum under there and that thing will look mint!!!

I think it looks fargin' awesome.

Mill came out of an SS, right? For that reason, I'd try to find some Cammie FR covers instead, but either way, it looks cool.

Of course it looks like your took it right out of a Vette, thats the point!!! Its not like putting Vette badging on the exterior. Its just an expression and dress up that the motor is up to par with the Vette's motor. Old schoolers do it with their SBC's all the time. I know a guy with a Nova and Vette valve covers... Same thing. I dont think it saying "Camaro" in a camaro would give it that high performance feel. Its like the front calipers that have "Corvette" cast on them. Its the calipers from a vette. You know your gonna stop. Just like the motor says you know your goin fast. They give the car a high Roller tough look that I think is sweet.

Nice pics BTW. I'll have some picks of mine shortly as well.

I think he had someone else do it...? Not sure though. Anyway, absolutely awesome bro. I like the vette covers. People always spaz when they see that under the hood of car. Nice ride, and we do need pics of the new wheels.

Looks really good man. I know there are others out there with 3rd gens and LS1's, but not too many come around here. I'm for sure gonna come to Fla. when I'm all done with mine. Then we can get some pics. of 2 RS's with LS1's. Who knows, maybe even start an annual LS1 car show.

I'll be putting the TR 224 cam in it when I get it tuned at AMS. I already have the cam, but I'd rather get the car running first, and some baseline #'s before I put the cam in. Give me a little while for that one.

Anyways, happy LS1ing.

Looks great! Regarding the FRCs, you can shave them down and put Camaro or anything else you want on 'em. That's the route I would go...or no FRCs. in any case, looks great!!!

You could go with C5-R valve covers, and relocate the coil packs.

One of my club members with a Z06 got some custom fuel rail covers from Halltech. He got them in red carbon fiber. I think a set for your car, but in blue instead of red would look sweet. Plus you can put whatever lettering you want on there. You can check out some pics and stuff on our club forums (click here). Only thing is I'm not sure if the fuel rail covers are interchangeable from LS1 to LS6. Other than that, I would relocate the alarm ECM and install a STB (paint matched to your teal body color). Then I would completely relocate the windsheild washer bottle and hide it under the front clip (this is what I did with my 91 Z). Buff up the under-hood paint a bit (or maybe just wash it real good), and top it off with a set of billet strut mounts and I think it would look show ready. Very nice!!

Ya I knew that some place was doing it...but I wasn't sure who. I remember when 1991 Z-28 had his ZZ4/T56 combo put in, the business that installed it had a site up giving details to the install and any problems that arrised as they did it.

Just wondering if there was anything like that for his car.

They didn't list any problems that encountered.......BUT then again i was never notified of any problems he had, pretty much everything......

He didn't have to notch the frame or anything like that, I think beause he has done it to his car, he had a pretty good idea of what to do, maybe that's why it was problem-free.....

LS1s are sweet, the only thing i dont understand is, how come u didnt have the engine bay painted and detailed? a stock TPI camaro air box lid with a modded box might be more effective then that TGR cai. other then that it looks good.

Looks good, but i would have painted the engine bay and detailed the $hit out of the engine bay, because you know your going to show it off, why not in style, clean, lean and well you have the mean

I thought the red Z06 fuel rail covers would look better, but I take it back. Those black ones look great!

Kickass engine swap. Seriously Jealous.
