(Dang, got to do this all over again - server went down as I posted my response...)
I haven't seen a 302 crate for at least 20 years. Even rebuild kits are becoming special order (if you get pistons).
The 302 requires a 3" crank. The factory 3" cranks were mostly small journal (but at least they were steel), so if you happen to find one, you'll need a small journal 4" bore block (read: '62-'67 327). Or, bearing spacers in a large-journal 4" bore block (good luck finding them). There were a few factory 3" stroke large journal cranks in '68 & '69 302's, collectors items.
You could get a custom crank. I checked Eagle's website, the shortest stroke they offer is 3.25". You might try Scat or Moroso, figure on at least $600 if not a grand for the crank.
The good news is most any Gen I 4" large journal crank bore block would work. All such 350's were large journal.
Just for the record: Why a 302? So you can say you have the same size engine as the Stang down the street? Because you heard the 302 was a killer engine in its day? Truth is, any 350 on which you spent the same money would outrun it.
