Somebody help me out here
I just bought an 88 Formula with a 305. I want to put a 350 in there but i'm going to be starting college next year so i have to do something cheap. Any suggestions? Where could i get a cheap complete 350 from and if i can get one from a junkyard, what's a good car to pull it from? I want at least 240 horsepower from the stock motor (which shouldn't be hard to get). Any help would be appreciated.

I'll 2nd Shifty's opinion. Pushing 240 HP through a stock LO3 exhaust would be hard, for instance.
Do the support things first - a complete performance exhaust starting with headers will do wonders with your current engine. It'll cost you somewhere between $750-$1000, but putting the 350 in there w/o doing the exhaust first is a receipe for disappointment.

Would the new exhaust sustem bolt up to a 350? I don't want anything too crazy. I eventually want to do a T-56 swap (yes i'm aware that a T-56 isn't a motor). Maybe over the summer. I want something that i can build up myself. I don't know too much about cars and stuff so this is the perfect opportunity for me to learn. I just don't want to spend tons of money on headers and a cat back system if it won't bolt up to the new motor. One more thing- Should i throw on a WS6 style hood?
