v6 to 305 Swap
Im swapping in a 305, and I don't want to hear it isn't worth it, I know, I just need to know if I can use my current T-5 transmission. I already have AC delete, so that simplifies it a bit, and I wanted to know if I have to change springs. My radiator is already swapped for a v8 one, and I am planning on changing the computer. Am I missing anything else that will have to be changed? Thanks!

All covered on the engine swap forum.
I'll move there, read the sticky at the top of the forum, you did search on the Tranny forum I'm sure, but...
You can "use" the V6 T-5, but it's not a bolt on. The bellhousing is a big "nope".

The car will handle better with the v8 springs no doubt.I didnt change mine .Depends on what you want to do with the car and how you want it to handle.
For a daily driver street car that handles well Id consider changing the springs.
For a street/strip car keeping the v6 springs and removing the sway bar allows the front end to come up for better weight transfer on launch
