94 LT1.. in Panic Mode with VATS
Well.. its the easter week-end. I'm ready to start my engine for the first time.. assuming I can get the rest of this wiring complete.. But I have no cable to program PCM. .. It's still in transit.
Now, I have VATS in the 89 TA as it is. I have no idea the resistance needed in the PCM for the key.. Question...
Am I ok for starting since I have proper key for my 89 VATS? or am I still screwed?
if I am screwed.. anyone have plans to build one of these cables which work with tunercat? If I can get that I can buck-she a cable to the time being..
thanks.

If you have the right key, you're fine. Start it up. Since the VATS module will be getting the correct resistance reading, it will send the signal to the PCM.
