V6 > V8 swap, wiring

OK guys, I know this has been asked tons of times before, but I just want to make absolutely sure before I go and do it. Since I am going carb and HEI, I shouldnt need anything from the passenger side harness right? Just cut it off and clean up the loose ends, right? I just want to make sure before I get snippy happy. I was wanting to hook everything up and get it running and then cut out what wasnt needed, but I know if I wait, I'll get lazy and wont do it.

Personally, I followed each wire out individually and only snipped what I knew I wouldn't use. Then I pulled out those wires from the bulk connector. Then I respliced a few wires back together that were connected to other harnesses. Then I straightened out all bundels and zip tied them every 6 inches. Then I rerouted all the bundles where I wanted and placed them inside new split looms.

I guess what I'm saying is nobody cares as much about doing it right as you. I would follow the bundles and see what you do and don't want. If you don't know... leave it. It's harmless and you will eliminate a ton of unsightly wiring anyway.
