Fuel LInes help!
ok, so im swappin motors, and i need a way to run fuel from the stock hard line on my iroc on the drivers side framerail to the new carb, it has the stupid fitting that you screw in the rest of the hardline in...i have the rest of the hardline so i was just gonna use the ends to mate them together and then cut it off and use rubber fuel hose for the rest of it to the AFPR and then the carb, so some fuel hose and some hose clamps should be good nuff right.....
Well, when i switched from FI to carb, I had the engine and tranny out of the car. I just took the fuel lines down from the drivers side and mounted them on the passenger side. I cut them at the pickup and ran a small amount of rubber line. Believe it or not, the holes are already there for the fuel line. You can get away with taking two of the clips to hold the line from the drivers side, but if you go to a junkyard they are everywhere, and they probalby wont even charge for something like that. It seemed like a better way than runnin the lines across the engine compartement. THats just how I did it, I guess you could do it a bunch of ways though.

how will they go over to the passenger side rail without bending them to **** and restricting airflow....tell me more about this, cuz im gonna do it if i get enough info to pull it off....
And you just cut the tips off where they screw in and ran some fuel line hose with clamps, sounds like a plan to me...

I went to the very back, at the pickup on the gass tank, and cut it where the pipe bends to go to the drivers side. I put a small amount of rubber line (just enough to make the bend to the passenger side) and connected to the length of metal line. It takes a little bit of bending on the metal lines to make it fit just right, but it can be done. I also ran it under the very edge of the heat sheilding on part of the passenger side, and it fit real nice. A little trick to bendign the line evenly so it fits right is to slip a box-end wrench around it and bend with that. Dont bend too much in one place, and move about a 1/2 inch up the line at a time bending. Like i said the holes are already there under the car, just take some of the clips and put it up. Good luck.

I cut them off and ran rubber line you need to plumb in a three port anyway...I can take a copleted fuel system pic in the morning if you like.
