Is my ZZ3 running slower than what it should be?

I dropped a ZZ3 in my 84 TA. Last time out with it, I ran a best of 13.83@101.6 mph...with a 2.01 60' time. All I have is the ZZ3, WC T-5, 3.73 posi, cheap hedman headers and 2 1/2" y-pipe, and stock L69 2 1/2" catback. Now this was on street tires, but the 2.0 short time isnt that bad. Shouldnt this car be close to low-mid 13's? Im still running my "G" hanger and "DR" rods. If its running what it should be, than how can I get it into the low 13's-high 12's? I was thinking the HOT cam package with the 1.6 rockers, and full 3" exhaust. What does everybody think?

I would think you have more to gain out of that engine, perhaps your Y-pipe is restricting you a bit?

That's pretty much in line with how my ZZ4 ran in my '68 El Camino with an Edelbrock Performer carb. I had 3.73 gears, headers, exhaust MSD, yada yada yada. Then I changed to a Demon 750 carb and found a whole new level of performance. It was rediculous how much the Edelbrock held me back.

I think the stock exhaust is holding you up more than the YPipe is.
