Hi all, just wanted to thank Thirdgen.org and all its members for the help. I haven't posted any questions, but wiring diagrams and such that are posted all over this site helped me tremendously.
I just fired the motor Saturday--first fire after having put the motor together 4 years ago, and it sounds incredible--*** open headers rule, lol. I really can't wait to take it out on the road. The motor is a 1966 327-350 horse bored .060 with Keith Black Hyper pistons and '66 heads having 58cc chambers, good for 10.5:1 compression. 286 duration cam with 525 lift, and I'm running it off of TPI.
If anyone has questions about swapping--this block is a 327 with heads having no accessory holes, I would more than happy to answer questions, or if you're in the Michigan area, I'll come by and help you out. Or if you want to hang out and go cruising that would be awesome.

Where abouts in MI? I am currently finishing my '85 Bird with '68 327, 12.5:1 TRW's, single 4 tunnel ram, 58cc heads (extensively modified). She put out 589 at the flywheel.

 

Well, I live in Fenton and work in Ann Arbor so I drive back and forth between there quite a bit. You anywhere around there? I get together with a group of guys up in Flint on Friday and Saturday nights.
