Toying with the idea of V6--> LT1 QUESTIONS

Im thinking about maybe doing an Lt1 swap in my 1991 3.1L Automatic....

I know the basis of the swap, but about the transmission...

I wanna do a Manual tranny when I swap...

What will I have to do different then swapping in an automatic??

What extras do I have to do to put in a Manual??

Thanks...

your gonna need either a 3rd gen or 4th gen manual center console. and new tranny mounts and crossmember i believe.

if your gonna do the complete LT1 swap with the t-56, just buy a junked f body with both of them in it. its the easiest way since all the stuff is right there, impossible to find though. you will need an aftermarket tranny brace though. they go for around 100. if you can weld you can make one easy enough.

i hope you know these swaps are not cheap at all. costs a lot for parts and you'll find that during the swap, you'll be missing pieces. always happens
