LT1 swap question
Is it possible to run a '93 harness and pcm on a '94 motor ?... I noticed that the '93 takes a chip and the '94 does not.. Which is better ?
Also, how can you tell if a pcm is bad ? I cant get any spark with the '94 pcm..
Thanks, Artie

Nope not possible. The 93 uses the ECM style computer used in our thirdgens, 94 is a PCM which uses re-writable flash memory. IMO the PCM is the better design but others will argue because its easy to pull a chip out of the 93 and burn your own. Its all personal preference. As far as the no spark. Check coil, plugs and most importantly opti.

Not sure, the 93 computer used batch fire injection, not sure what else was changed, Oh the 93 is speed density also. Will probably work but the 94 will be the better choice.

It will work just fine if you use the 93 computer and harness, there is also a difference with the TPS connector, otherwise its the same. However i'd rather use the 94-95 setup anyway.
