Hey family,

I have a 1992 Camaro RS. I have a totally bad motor (305). I came across a deal to purchase a G.M. crate motor (350). I want to put in a stouter cam yet, keep the fuel injection that is on the car. What I will have to do for every thing to work right. Can some one help me out? Please be very detailed.

Hey welcome aboard! Since you have a 1992 RS you have the LO3 or 305 TBI motor. Keeping the TBI set-up is a piece of cake as long as you prepare the rest of the car for your new found power. These cars have a lot of weak links to them and they need upgrades to the exhaust, fuel system, and chip before any larger displacement engine is put in place. however, once these upgrades have been done the rest of the project is as simply as just bolting the new motor back in place of the 305. Everything will hook up since the two motors share the exact same external dimensions. What crate motor is it exactly? There are a couple of threads going on right now in the TBI forum that detail such a swap and what is entailed. Check them out along with try a few searches. This questions comes up weekly and had been covered with a trmendous amount of detail. This post will get moved to the TBI or engine swap forum where it belongs.
