LT1 heads on LO3...

will they bolt up, and what about the brackets for the alternator
and such? will every thing work?

LT1's got the reverse flow cooling. I'm pretty sure they won't bolt up.

Technically they will bolt up but the coolant passages will not. They are reverse flow cooled and completely different than Gen I heads. They can be made to work on Gen I motors but they take a considerable amount of fab work. Also, you would want to shave them a bit to bump the compression even if you did get them to work. By the time you get done with them to work you could have some world heads or ported TPI heads that will work perfect on your 305.

OR what you meant was you got some 70 LT1 heads, in which case they will work just fine, new intake manifold, but should work fine.

If it's the Gen II LT1 then as explained by Shifty.
